Going strong and ready for 2024

Read Now

2023 was a year of change. Before COVID, our model was for teachers to come to our book distribution site located in two large classrooms at Jones Elementary School. Teachers from the San Bernardino City and Rialto Unified School Districts would be invited twice each year to choose books for each of their students to take home and keep. In March of 2020, the world changed and the IECBP closed along with everything else.

In the summer of 2021, we moved to a single classroom at Lincoln Elementary School, but book deliveries did not restart until fall of 2022. We are very grateful for the space provided by the SBCUSD. The smaller location required a shift in our program delivery. With some trial and error, we began delivering books to schools in the winter/spring of 2023. With the help of volunteers from CSUSB's CAL-SOAP program, we were able to clean, organize and distribute books to entire schools at at time. That practice continues today.

Fall of 2024 will be the 10th anniversary of our founding and in February 2025, we will celebrate a decade of providing books to children. We opened our doors in February of 2015 and have provided tens of thousands of books since. We have been 100% volunteer since day one and could not have done it without the generosity of our volunteers and donors.

Join us as we celebrate and look forward to our second decade. More information about our plans will be coming out this spring.
